Activated carbon applications
Choose activated carbon around the real process.
Water chemistry, contaminant loading, equipment, airflow, humidity and contact time determine which activated carbon deserves testing.

Application FAQ
Before selecting an activated carbon grade.
How is activated carbon selected for an industrial application?
Selection starts with the contaminant, liquid or gas composition, target outlet, temperature, humidity, flow, contact time, equipment and current media. Product form and standard laboratory values alone are not enough to predict field performance.
Should a buyer test activated carbon before a commercial order?
Yes. Use the actual water, wastewater or representative gas conditions where practical. Keep the sample identity, methods, operating conditions and acceptance criteria connected to the final order specification.
Can one activated carbon grade be used for every water or VOC duty?
No. Water chemistry, organic composition, humidity and reactive gases can change the required pore structure, particle form or chemical treatment. Some duties require a separately selected impregnated or compliance-qualified grade.
